This is the film that opens with the legendary jingle VS uses for its logo sequence, and it's worth checking out if your into wild 70s madness. The plot involves body stealing, and immortality pursuits courtesy of brain and organ transplantation. The effects are very simplistic and have snatched bodies, as well as head scientist Nancy Kwan, wrapped in various bits of clear plastic. This was filmed in the Philippines, and features scenic natural views, as well as bustling city streets. The "wonder women" are skilled martial artists and secret agent types, years before Charlie's Angels, but here they're antagonists. The fight scenes aren't great and come off ridiculous, from being unnaturally sped-up and the style of editing, but they're over-the-top entertaining. This often feels like the exact type of film Austin Powers was parodying, but in this it actually is the early 70s. Clothes and hair styles are garish, and vividly colorful. Familiar genre favorites show up such as Nancy Kwan, Ross Hagen (known best by some as the coach in the VS released classic Blood Games), and Sid Haig. There's one good car chase scene featuring two jeep taxis that barrel through many busy city streets, which are jammed with people and cars. This also features telepathic "brain ***", the likes of which would show up decades later in Demolition Man. The climax has some ok shoot-outs, but hero Ross doesn't get to do a whole lot, and the ending is of the inconclusive cliffhanger type, and I didn't…
