The Ques and the Capulets have been engaged in a years-long rivalry, which has fostered such a vicious feud that they’ve each forbidden their children from having any contact with those of the other. When lovable and smut-obsessed slacker Tromeo Que and his friends decide to sneak into a lavish party being hosted by the chaste and proper Juliet Capulet, the two fall in love at first sight. Realizing that they must keep their passion for each other secret, especially as Juliet’s father has pledged her as a bride to a meat-obsessed business associate, their forbidden love threatens not only to destroy their families but also begins causing mayhem and bloodshed all around them.
The first of director Lloyd Kaufman's (The Toxic Avenger) official adaptations of William Shakespeare, TROMEO & JULIET is a wild, punk reimagining of The Bard's eternal doomed romance, only with non-stop gore, nudity, and giant mutant genitals! Set amongst the denizens and outcasts of squalid New Jersey, standing in for a modern vision of Verona, and featuring a screenplay co-written by soon-to-be major director in his own right, James Gunn (Slither, Guardians of the Galaxy) TROMEO features scream queen Debbie Rochon (Cyber Vengeance), Sean Gunn (Super, Superman) in his on-screen debut, music superstar Lemmy (Motörhead), and Will Keenan as Tromeo. Vinegar Syndrome is proud to bring this funny, gross, altogether unpredictable, and incredibly moving love story for the ages to UHD and Blu-ray, exclusively restored in 4K from its original camera negative and presented in its director's cut, along with hours of new and archival extras.

Reviews
Awesome
"Love the slipcover. Lots of bonus features that are worth the purchase alone. This is a must buy for Troma fans Another thing I always notice on these releases is how good the quality of the packaging is. The quality is much better than any of the companies out there"
— Chris L. (5/5)
Tromeo and Juliet
"James Gunn is one of my favorite directors and writers. I am super excited to see early Gunn writing at work here. Plus Troma films are always a disgusting vibe. Awesome box and art as well."
— Ian R. (5/5)
Tromeo and Juliet is a
"Tromeo and Juliet is a fun trashy flick. Vinegar Syndrome gives this cult classic a quality restoration. If you're into any Troma flicks I highly recommend this one."
— Kyle L. (5/5)
Fun
"Shakespeare according to Lloyd Kaufman’s Troma. Just like Terror Firmer, this is a highly entertaining Troma film. At least, I had a great viewing experience and I really dig the humor! Once again, excellent picture and sound quality! Four stars!"
— Daniel B. (4/5)
Great set, not a huge fan of the film.
"A lesser Lloyd Kaufman film for me as the Kaufman troma humor usually only works for me when it's truly over the top disgusting, crude and crass and tromeo and juliet is relatively mild. Still glad to have it, it's a great package full of extras and I will give the film a few more shots."
— Teun H. (3/5)
Disgusting Punk Rock Classic
"This is probably one of my favorite movies. The performances are insane and VS's transfer is gorgeous and blows my Troma release away. All the new and legacy bonus features being here are a wonderful touch. Absolutely worth every dime!"
— Astrid R. (5/5)
Excellent packaging & transfer
"* Excellent artwork * Superb transfer * Fantastic flick"
— PARBHAT K. (5/5)
Thanks Uncle Lloyd!
"Amazing transfer for an amazing movie. Great seeing the Gunn brothers working together before going onto bigger things. Funny, offensive, and gross. A perfect Troma production!"
— Gabriel G. (5/5)
I'm so glad Vinegar Syndrome
"I'm so glad Vinegar Syndrome is doing what Uncle Lloyd refuses to do. Bringing these Troma classics to us in the restored versions they deserve. Great picture quality and bonus content. And as always, great packaging. Keep it up!"
— Matthew T. (5/5)
Wherefore Art Thou
"I could sit here and tell you this is a great movie. It's Troma so it's not. It is a lot of fun though if you know what you are getting yourself into. I saw this growing up and hated it, but now that I have seen other Troma movies I can appreciate it. It's a classic story with tons of exploitation nods in it. Highly recommend it if you know what to expect."
