The Horrific Story inspired by true Events...

Ti West's Trigger Man leads the charge in a new wave of stripped-down, scary movies fueled by seat-of-the-pants filmmaking ingenuity.

Reggie, Sean, and Ray leave Manhattan for a day trip of deer hunting in Delaware, expecting to drink a few beers in the woods free of the city-life responsibilities that are slowly forcing the childhood friends apart. But with one well-aimed shot, a walk in the sun is transformed into a frantic and desperate fight for survival, as Trigger Man morphs from a character-driven rural amble into a ""smartly compact and radical survival thriller (Variety). Writer, director, and editor Ti West (The Roost, Cabin Fever II) expertly exploits audience expectations, using minimalist handheld photography to relentlessly build tension to "a genuinely terrifying payoff" (New York Sun).

Reviews

Early West

"Trigger Man is a stripped-down survival thriller that builds tension through long stretches of quiet and uncertainty. Ti West takes a minimalist approach, letting the sound design and pacing do most of the work. It’s a slow burn, but the realism and creeping dread make it a gripping watch for patient viewers."

BAM!

"Ti West's second feature film gets a Blu-ray release that's also packed with informative special features!"

Thomas P. (5/5)

This One Was Fun To Watch

"This thriller was a very good effort on what was obviously show on a lower budget. It was never-the-less a very engaging flick that kept me very interested from beginning to end. The peerless VS restoration process was on full display with stellar sound and picture! Thank you, VS, for continuing to lovingly restore and release so many wonderful films from every conceivable genre! You are keeping physical media alive in this streaming world we now live in! Highly recommended!"

Low Budget Thriller

"This is an early Ti West film. I had seen all of his movies from The House Of The Devil on. This was a low budget effective thriller. You can see the talent he has for direction in this early release. The tension in this one is great for basically three dudes hunting in the woods. Highly recommend this one."

Nathan L. (5/5)

Patrick J. (5/5)

Early Ti West classic

"Trigger Man is a pretty cool low budget horror flick from Ti West. The restoration looks the best it can. Great release from Glass Eye Pix. Good features on here as well."

Drake D. (5/5)

Love this artwork on this

"Love this artwork on this release its excellent and theres a average amount of extras and a lot of effort was put into this release."

Will S. (5/5)

Not great

"So I wasn’t a big fan of this one back in the day but decided to give it another shot. The first half is unfortunately a slog. When the action starts it happens fast and the rest of the movie does manage to be tense and suspenseful but the way it’s shot is extremely distracting. I’m generally a Ti West fan but this one never clicked."

Nick M. (2/5)

Great release

"Love it. . not perfect but still a great watch"

Richard J. (5/5)

They've Got Their Sights On You

"Absolutely would of made an exciting short film, but I get what Ti West was going for, with the shaky camera mundanely following the trio of hunters to create a growing sense of unease, like you are a watchful observer. It takes awhile to get where it's headed, but once the shocking violence kicks in, it really kicks in. I tried to figure out exactly which "true story" this was based on, but with all the gun violence in today's world, it's kind of like take your pick."
