Back to my Youth
"I remember renting the VHS when it was new and I was in high school. A fun nostalgia trip and while the movie is no masterpiece, it is better than I remembered. Glad the reversible cover was the old cover art."

Welcome to Bates High School. Today’s lesson: stay on Rachel Lang’s good side, because if you don’t, there will be hellfire to pay! When a group of competitive, oversexed jocks target Rachel as a snitch, it triggers Rachel’s psychic impulse for revenge. While mourning the suicide of her best friend, her rage boils to a fever pitch and Rachel finds herself struggling with her inherited telekinetic powers. Can guidance counselor Sue Snell, survivor of Carrie White's original bloodbath, manage to help Rachel before it's too late? Is there any way to save Rachel from her own supernatural fury or is it destined to destroy her alongside her teenage tormentors?
A chilling sequel from acclaimed cult filmmaker Katt Shea (Stripped to Kill, Streets), THE RAGE: CARRIE 2 stars Emily Bergl (TV's Shameless) along with Jason London (Dazed and Confused), Dylan Bruno (Saving Private Ryan), Zachery Ty Bryan (TV's Home Improvement) and also features Academy Award® nominee Amy Irving (Carrie, The Fury) reprising her role of Sue Snell. Vinegar Syndrome presents this late 90s horror sleeper, which Variety called “an explosion of supernatural violence” on 4K UHD for the very first time, exclusively restored from its original camera negative.

"For some reason at the end of the century, they decided that the classic film Carrie needed a sequel. It’s a quality movie and this lease is stacked. The transfer looks great and it’s really not that bad of a movie. It’s very 90s but I guess that’s OK. I say check it out. I wouldn’t necessarily say it should be canon but I am happy with this release"
"This is a fun movie for anyone who was around in the late 90s when it came out! Solid story and performances. The packaging and art along with the 4k restoration make it a must buy."
"Unlike Carrie, Rachel is good looking, dresses cool, has a strong voice, has friends and does not freak out when she gets her period. Toxic masculinity, and a friend of her taking her life because of it, gets thing going here leading up to the climax that is expected from a movie with "Carrie" in it. DePalmas film is of course a tough act to follow. It's build up and shocking conclusion can never be repeated. Carrie 2 is entertaining and has good performances both in front of and behind camera, but it never reaches real horror heights. 4K transfer is very good, with very clear and colorful images all through. Sound is fine. Extras are disappointing with nothing new, and everything just ported over from a dvd release I bought ages ago. Interesting enough and everything includes the director giving insight to the production, but some new extras would have been nice. Packaging is sparse with just an slipcase with new artwork. "Carrie 2" comes recommended for hardcore horror fans, but don't expect anything more than a a little above average."
"This sequel is. Ether than it has any right to be and has a solid cast of unknowns at the time who have now went on to bigger and better things. The disc from VS is quite good even if the extra are a little bit light. Cover artwork on slipcover is okay, but the original artwork is included as well which is all that really matters."
"I mean, there was no way this wasn’t gonna be panned, a 90s sequel to DePalma’s classic?!? The first Carrie is a standalone film that never needed a sequel. However, Carrie 2 is lots of fun, with tons of 90s charm and a satisfying, gory third act. The ties to Carrie are probably the least successful aspects, except maybe the inclusion of Amy Irving’s character. Had this been its own psychic killer film and not a Carrie sequel, maybe it would have been appreciated more but it’s still a relic of that time and not without its flaws. In either case, I enjoyed the hell out of it."
"Of course this wasn’t near as good as the original but I still enjoyed it. Performances were decent and the transfer was terrific."
"I liked this sequel quite a bit more than I expected to, it's got that 90's high school vibe and it's also a really solid thriller. This release of course boasts a solid 4k transfer and a very cool slipcase. I'm glad I decided to get this!"
"I'm so happy this came out in 4k. It's not the perfect sequel, but it's very fun! The packaging it great and has a two-sided insert so you can choose your cover. Wonderful transfer! It looks so good in 4k!"
"This edition by VS is fantastic! Exactly what a collector would want. I remember seeing this film in the theater. Glad to see it’s getting some love."
