A film that slipped through the cracks, The Plot Against Harry is a film definitely ahead of it's time. A darkly satirical look at a low-level Jewish mobster, it's comes across like Philip Roth making a Cassavetes art film, but somehow better than that description reads. The cinematography is excellent, and is a treat for fans of vintage NYC-shot films. Just buy it, you won't be disappointed!

Glad to have this low-budget, deadpan comedy in my collection, which seems like it paved the way for later works by Scorsese and the Coen brothers.

Awesome restoration of this hidden gem. The comparisons with Uncut Gems and various Scorsese are definitely apt. The dark, dry humor brings the Coens to mind as well. Great movie.
