Let chaos take you to a place beyond the hills, where thunder echoes off the canyons and choirs of coyotes pierce the midnight sky.

Deep in the Mojave desert, under a scorching blood-red sun, four travelers have set up camp. They came to make art. They came to commune with nature. They came to laugh and sing and love. They came….to vanish!

One fateful night, the group is thrust into a feverish tornado of flayed flesh and mind-boggling monstrosities, the likes of which mere humans simply cannot fathom. In a stretch of land once covered by shallow, Paleozoic seas, what horrors might surface?

An owl’s cry…

The rattlesnake’s hiss..

A wail in the darkness…

This is no mirage. This is really happening.

"Found footage is a Horror sub-genre that people love to hate and shit on everytime there is a chance to. Not me, I love it ever since I saw Blair Witch Project back then. The Outwaters was apparently a viral hit in the US and divided the crowds of course. Audiences seemed to love it or absolutely hate it. I was fascinated by it from the first to the last frame. This is a very surreal experience for a FF movie and manages to keep the camera rolling even though time and space are turned upside down and thew characters seeminly travel through different dimenions. Nothing is explained, so well done. So this could be categorized as "elevated Horror". Director Robbie Banfitch also plays one of the main characters in the film. I always liked that auteur aspect about many found footage films. This is one of the best FF movies ever. Check it out!"

What a Trip of a Film (Both For Good And For Bad)

"If you like Skinamarink, you might hate this film. If you hate Skinamarink, you might also hate this film. This film is one of the purest representations of Lovecraftian horror (by I mean it is true chaos/madness to a degree that might rub a lot of people the wrong way), but I recommend every horror fan give it a try because the last 30min are truly a unique piece of horror media."

      Found footage desert nightmare

"An original found footage film that does a lot of showing and not telling. Some might still find the lack of clarity difficult and the short films provided add a little more to the story, but still a lot is up to your imagination."
