I thought I would enjoy this but it only got more grating the longer it went on, becoming obnoxious enough that by the time it ended I just didn't care. The cornball voiceover, spazzy editing, and nonsense of a plot just didn't click for me on an aesthetic level, no matter whatever real-world metaphors it was speaking for.

It's there if you're watching. Very forgettable. Nice package. The filmmakers are lucky that Vin Syn produced such a nice release.

Solvent is a great, challenging film; I’ve honestly never seen anything like it.
The Blu-ray edition is worth it for the excellent location featurette alone, full of great production stories.
A singular, unsettling film, and a strong edition for anyone drawn to truly unusual cinema.
