Interesting take on a classic story. Dripping with hand-made style and off-beat comedy. Great indie gem to have in the collection.

Awesome watch that was very creative. Definitely worth a blind buy.

Adam Green’s Aladdin is one of those movies where I knew pretty quickly I was either going to completely reject the vibe or just go with it — and I ended up going with it. The papier-mâché sets, handmade props, and intentionally artificial look give the whole thing this weird storybook-meets-underground-art feeling that I really dug.
The cast is half the fun too. Alia Shawkat, Natasha Lyonne, Macaulay Culkin, and the rest all fit into this bizarre little world without making it feel too polished. The movie is goofy, political, romantic, and deliberately messy, but it has enough personality that I never felt like I was watching something generic.
The Blu-ray release is loaded with the behind-the-scenes documentary, outtakes, music videos, Q&A material, trailers, and other extras, which is exactly what I want for something this handmade and specific. The limited slipcover was capped at 1,000 copies too, so I’m glad I grabbed this edition.
Weird, colorful, homemade, and completely its own thing. Easy 5/5 for me. 😁

I honestly haven't watched this yet. I bought cause of the concept, the cast, missing out on the kickstarter and original release and the Jeff Lewis slipcover but I am sure I will love it and so will you.
