"Before 2024’s body horror film, “The Substance,” there was “Sick of Myself:” an absurdist black comedy about a narcissistic Norwegian couple locked in relentless competition with each other in their pursuit for attention until one of them takes it too far… As a fan of foreign films as well as deranged characters, I’ve been recommending this since I first saw it early last year! It’s like a rejected “Always Sunny in Philadelphia” episode that was deemed too sick for network television. Come for the grotesque body horror, stay for the takedown of clout chasing culture!"
