White Cannibal Queen

Franco hated cannibal films, though it’s hard to tell when watching "Mondo Cannibale." Every scene involving meat is presented in slow motion, and instead of the sound of entrails being torn apart or the lips smacking, there is a moan as if Ron Jeremy had just finished a ****. While watching this, I had the impression that the director was relishing these scenes just as much as the cannibals in the movie. As for them, they are about as close to being wild natives as I am to becoming the King of Antarctica. This is the same case as with "Terreur cannibale". In fact, the films were shot in the same location and at practically the same time, which makes them very similar to each other. Together with "Devil Hunter," they form a kind of trilogy of "jolly cannibalism." Although, of the three, "White Cannibal Queen" has the best pacing and delights with the greatest number of strange plots ideas. No matter how harshly Franco himself panned this film, criticizing its technical aspects, I enjoyed every minute. And if, like me, you love those lighthearted, uninhibited Euro-horrors, you'll have a wonderful time in this jungle.

You want an 80s cannibal move. Here you go

VS restores this entertaining jungle adventure cannibal movie for blu ray in their usual high quality. The movie was previously put on DVD from Blue Underground and the HD upgrade is most welcome. For anyone interested in the cannibal genre but want to check out something less intense than the Italian Cannibal Ferox or Holocaust this one's for you. Keep in mind that it is cheap looking and low budget compared to the Italian cannibal films.

Decent

If you're a Franco completionist or really into the cannibal genre than grab this one but otherwise it's an easy skip.
