The films themselves accentuate the icy cold beauty of Canada in its full splendor and feature great, intense acting from big names like Genevieve Bujold, who I know from Dead Ringers. It's an introspective look into a world that's interesting and visually striking."
"As a fan of the previous release, I'm happy to have a proper second volume of Quebecois New Wave films. All four films were enjoyable, with Where Are You? in particular being the highlight of the set, and should be sought out by Godard-heads and lovers of experimental cinema."

"Contains both a short and a feature with the great Genevieve Bujold. She is stunning and excellent in both. Sweet Water is a better showcase for what she can do, but she is always magnetic to watch. Two other films, one short one feature length, are also included. The second feature film is a mixed bag. A truly odd duck with sung narration from a female chorus, a constant switch between color and black and white, and other odd stylistic choices. Most interesting as a time capsule for the stores, records, magazines, ads, etc of the time. Not engaging otherwise. But the two Bujold features are the focus here anyway. Everything else is extra. A must for her fans."
