The American Genre Film Archive (AGFA) represents the world's largest theatrical catalog of exploitation cinema. Their home video line presents a diverse selection of movies, ranging from new preservations of classics from the vast library of Something Weird to the wildest in shot-on-video (SOV) titles. Vinegar Syndrome’s sister company, OCN Distribution, is thrilled to be representing this diverse and unique home video line!

Before starring in Wes Craven's The Last House on the Left, Sandra Peabody (aka Sandra Cassell) shined in Voices of Desire—a surreal, supernatural erotic horror hybrid and the debut feature film from exploitation auteur Chuck Vincent. Filmed in and around Manhattan, the story follows Anna (Peabody) as she attempts to escape the hauntings of a ghoulish sex cult. Voices of Desire is an undiscovered gem from the Something Weird vaults, and a sublime convergence of arthouse style and grindhouse thrills. Plus, the hallucinations continue with Fly Now, Pay Later—a drugged-out blast of sex-horror delirium that was made by anonymous maniacs in New York's Greenwich Village.

Very enjoyable AGFA release

"A blind buy for me, I very much enjoyed both films featured here. Great performance from Last House On The Left’s Sandra Peabody in ‘Voices of Desire’. Informative and interesting booklet and great slipcover."

Andrea M. (5/5)

It's great to finally get

"It's great to finally get Chuck Vincent's debut picture on Blu Ray. Really trippy in that great 60s way and we get pre Last House On The Lefts's Sandra Peaboy acting her ass off in the lead role. A great commentary by Casey Scott and the other flick Fly Now, Pay Later is pretty fun too. Great purchase. AGFA never disappoints."

Bryan K. (5/5)

Loved it

"Voices of Desire has that soft, moody early-80s adult melodrama feel, where the atmosphere and strange emotional tension almost matter more than the plot itself. It is sleazy, talky, and very much of its era, but there is a weird sincerity underneath that makes it more interesting than just another throwaway skin flick."

Shane P. (5/5)

Awesome double AGFA

"An awesome double feature from AGFA, highly recommended! Great slip as well."

Jakob P. (5/5)

Not much desire for this one

"Not one of my favourite releases from Agfa. It stars Sandra Peabody from Last House on the Left so I curious to see what this one was like, unfortunately it felt a little dull. The performances were fine and it’s a nice looking release with a gorgeous slip and some nice features but this was a miss for me."

james b. (3/5)

A Grindhouse Double Feature Unearthed on Blu-ray

"AGFA have done it again, unearthing another deeply buried corner of exploitation cinema with this double feature pulled from the Something Weird archives. It’s genuinely great to see Voices of Desire resurfaced—Sandra Peabody drifting through a hazy, cult-haunted Manhattan in what plays like equal parts erotic horror, surreal melodrama, and underground New York fever dream. Chuck Vincent’s debut already has that uneasy mix of arthouse framing and grindhouse impulse, where narrative logic keeps slipping into something more hallucinatory."

Mitchell C. (4/5)

Only for the curious

"Great roughies with excellent tension. Great trailer reel too!"

joel j. (4/5)

Fly the (Not So) Friendly Skies!

"Another great release of classic exploitation from the SWV vaults! Both features are great sleaze in the best ways possible, and fans of the genre, especially anyone that enjoyed any of AGFA's other releases, will want to order this one!"

William Z. (5/5)

Primo sleaze from AGFA

"The folks at AGFA deliver another tension filled wallop of primo sleaze. Far better than usual performances make these all the better. Cool slipcover too"

Andrew I. (5/5)

Good double feature

"Big fan of Sandra Peabody of Last House on the Left fame so had to get this. Enjoyed both films, Voices of Desire was the best though."

Casey K. (4/5)
