"Classic video store staple that is good slasher"
"Fun 80's slasher that l found highly entertaining with solid production, a cool creepy setting. The slaughterhouse is effectively grimy. The director makes great use of this locations with enough violence and gore thrown in for good measure."
"One of the better TCM ripoffs I have seen. I don’t know how high the bar is on that, but this was enjoyable. The kills are pretty gory and the practical effects are delightful. Obviously the transfer is crisp and it looks like a movie from its time period. I would recommend this one. There is some animal deaths in here so buyer beware."
"Get Slaughterhouse when it's on sale and you won't regret it, especially if you love a good slasher. Haven't had a chance to peruse the extras yet, but there aren't too many and the transfer is great, probably from the best print they could find. Did not get the slipcover version, as there are none left, but this was right up my alley! The effects were primitively cool!"
"Brutal with Texas Chainsaw sequel vibes. Love it!"
"great transfer"
"Love this film!"
"The sequel to Texas Chainsaw Massacre that isn’t TCM2. There’s some really neat practical gore effects, and the film breezes along at an even, enjoyable pace. Additionally, the acting is serviceable which makes Slaughterhouse an overall solid pick for slasher enthusiasts."
"A fun, if generic slasher."
