When I Consume You

When I Consume You is a haunting and deeply personal horror film that relies more on atmosphere and emotion than conventional scares. The performances feel raw and believable, giving the story’s themes of trauma, addiction, and sibling devotion real weight. It can be challenging viewing at times, but its unsettling imagery and emotional intensity remain with you long after it ends.

It's this low-key indie horror about a brother and sister dealing with some really heavy stuff in their lives—like addiction and feeling totally alone—and then this creepy stalker thing shows up that might be supernatural or might just be their messed-up heads. The vibe is super unsettling and slow-burn, not jump-scare city.

The acting is really good, especially the two leads (they're siblings in the movie and you totally buy their relationship). It's bleak and kinda depressing at times, but in a way that feels real, not just for shock value. The visuals are cool too for such a small budget movie.

Not gonna lie, it's not super fast-paced so if you're in the mood for something action-y, maybe skip it. But if you like thoughtful, atmospheric horror that messes with your head a bit, give it a shot.

Interesting indie flick, I still prefer his previous work 'They Look Like People' but I did enjoy the atmosphere here.

Second film from the director I see. It has a small budget, but even so the story is so strong and unique. Also the slipcover is so gorgeous.

so fun!
