Jackson (Gregory Cox) is your run-of-the-mill, hockey mask wearing psychotic killer. Hideously deformed, he spends his time stalking and brutally murdering over-sexed young people, in a variety of nasty methods. But then he meets Shelly (Fiona Evans), a young blind woman who appreciates him as a person (it helps that she can't see the carnage he leaves at every turn). Finding himself falling in love for the first time, Jackson decides that it might be time to finally hang up his cutlery and settle into a happy life of domestic bliss. But can he really overcome his bloodthirsty impulses?
A biting horror-comedy from director Anders Palm and producer Mark Cutforth, UNMASKED PT. 25 (aka HANDS OF DEATH) cleverly plays off of every 80s horror cliche (along with satirizing a number of indie film tropes, for good measure), while reveling in some of the most gruesome gore effects which can be found in a post-nasties British made film. Vinegar Syndrome is proud to rescue this under-seen cult classic and bring it to Blu-ray for the first time.

Wish This Was More of a Parody
"2. 5 stars. A Jason stand-in forming a romantic relationship with a blind girl who doesn’t realize he’s a serial killer is an amazing idea. However, it starts to go downhill once the killer begins talking. Like, it becomes melodramatic and overly serious - it’s weird (and not in a good way. )"

Must Have
"Admittedly I expected something closer to Psychos In Love, but the twist of the love interest being blind is much more interesting and much funnier. Id say I regret not picking it up earlier but truth be told I much prefer this new slipcover. Worth watching for fans of the slasher genre or anybody fond of British comedy. Easily one of my best blind buys"

Very fun movie
"I mostly bought this release because a new slipcover was available and it wasn’t expensive, but I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this. I love slashers and sometimes when it gets meta it becomes too much, but this walked the line perfectly and was violent and sweet at the same time. I didn’t love the ending tho."

A Slasher With Soul
"This film will make you laugh and cry, unless you're already dead inside. This film also has some amazing kills that begin right from the rip. Maybe the most surprising VS release yet."

Unmasked Part 25
"Leave it to the British to hilariously lampoon the slasher genre while creating an actual good slasher, which is not my favorite genre by any means. The first 20 minutes of this plays sincerely and suddenly shifts to a hilarious meta movie that does not lack in the gore department. The special effects are outstanding, with the first kill being one of the better ones I’ve seen in recent memory. I actually laughed out loud in a couple of scenes. I missed the first release of this so I was thrilled when VS announced this was getting a rerelease with a new slipcover. The new artwork is great, with the front playing like a rom com and the back with a recreation of the amazing first kill scene. Because this is a release and an earlier VS release in general, the special features are very much lacking. There’s commentary and a stills gallery but unfortunately not much else. Would have loved a making of or new interviews with the cast and crew. Happy this was hyped for the special rerelease and glad I got to finally have one."

Unmasked Part 25
"After the disappointment of Unmasked Part 24, this was a real pleasant surprise. One of my favorite meta-slashers. There are some shockingly good kills for slasher playing it more on the funny side. The release from VS looks amazing, and the new slipcover really pops."
— Benjamin W. (5/5)
Unmasked is hilarious
"A very familiar looking killer falls in love and wants to leave his old ways behind. Will the world let him? Video quality is really nice. Audio has clear voices and the subtitles were excellent. My hearing aids picked up the voices easily. Unmasked is a lot of fun."
