Totally Wired brings together three early works by Nathan Silver, showcasing a filmmaking style that is loose, abrasive, and deeply rooted in character-driven chaos. These films feel almost improvised at times, capturing moments of emotional volatility and social discomfort with unfiltered intensity.
Silver’s approach is intentionally rough around the edges—handheld camerawork, overlapping dialogue, and erratic pacing all contribute to a sense of immediacy. The characters are often messy, flawed, and difficult, which can make the viewing experience both compelling and exhausting.
This collection isn’t about polished storytelling; it’s about capturing raw human behavior in all its awkwardness and unpredictability. For viewers attuned to this kind of cinéma vérité-inspired indie filmmaking, Totally Wired offers a fascinating, if uneven, glimpse into a singular creative voice.
