Interesting indie film that I kind of needed from by the end. Interested to rewatch it now that I know where it goes.

Found footage is a Horror sub-genre that people love to hate and **** on everytime there is a chance to. Not me, I love it ever since I saw Blair Witch Project back then.
The Outwaters was apparently a viral hit in the US and divided the crowds of course. Audiences seemed to love it or absolutely hate it. I was fascinated by it from the first to the last frame. This is a very surreal experience for a FF movie and manages to keep the camera rolling even though time and space are turned upside down and thew characters seeminly travel through different dimenions. Nothing is explained, so well done. So this could be categorized as "elevated Horror".
Director Robbie Banfitch also plays one of the main characters in the film. I always liked that auteur aspect about many found footage films.
This is one of the best FF movies ever. Check it out!

Pushes experimentation in found footage in a unique way. Glad to pick this one up

A fan of found footage, was intrigued with this one and had its moment, but also a bit overlong. Either way was glad to pick it up.
