I enjoyed this movie a lot. If your a fan of giallo then I believe you will enjoy this release. The slipcover is very nice as well I feel the art on it adds to this release.

Thoroughly enjoyed! If you like giallo, unique kills, and films set in cinemas, then this is your movie. And besides the feature, it’s packed with shorts!

Even though the trailer somewhat oversells The Last Matinee, it is nonetheless a Uruguayan / Argentinian genre piece that clearly loves the horror genre, and I guess we are not going to see all too many of them get good releases. Not only is this a slasher fed though giallo aesthetic – with some solid murder set-pieces and special effects - but it also, surprisingly, succeeds in channeling both Bava’s Demons, and Ming-Liang’s Goodbye, Dragon Inn at the same time and that’s a cracking good job.
