Simply put - this is a great set with all of the extras any film history nut would want. If you like war films, Brit films, or just films - this one should be on your "must-buy" list. You can see I purchased a lot during the recent sale, and I consider all of it important for my film library.

- PW70mm MemberPhilip W.Verified Buyer2 weeks agoRated 5 out of 5 starsAn interesting piece of history with some great visuals.
This adaptation of the real story of the RAF 617 Squadron and a new kind of bomb is compelling and watchable. The action sequences are interesting and the acting is great. The only thing that mars this excellent film is the unfortunate, but true to reality, name of a particularly beloved dog. No one bats an eye about it in the movie, but some more.. sensitive.. viewers may be offended.
That said, the movie is excellent in every regard. Don't let a couple lines of dialogue about a cute dog that everyone on the base loves prevent you from watching this film. The extras are wonderfully numerous and the restoration is top notch quality. This is a movie that should be up there with classics like The Longest Day, Dunkirk, Saving Private Ryan, The Bridge over River Kwai, and others. Don't miss out on this one. It's really good.
