This special limited edition embossed and spot gloss slipcover is limited to 2,000 units and is only available here at VinegarSyndrome.com!

Saturn's Core Audio & Video is a New Jersey based home video label devoted to releasing underground oddities and shot on video cinema on VHS, and now, blu-ray discs! In partnership with OCN Distribution, Saturn's Core will exhume forgotten or under-seen genre cinema from the 80s and 90s, with an emphasis on SOV horror features. Vinegar Syndrome’s sister company, OCN Distribution, is thrilled to be representing this diverse and unique home video line!

Adrian Torque is a renegade cop who has lost more than half of his skin in a terrorist explosion. His missing flesh has been replaced with the tongue meat recovered from the sixteen victims that died during the tragedy. Ginny Chin-Chin is a genetically engineered prostitute / assassin chasing down the scientist who implanted her sex organs under the folds of her eyelids. Alik Silens is a wearied computer hacker hunting through the pornographic abyss of cyberspace for the identity of her brother’s killer. At a run-down, S&M hotel purgatory where even the strangest desires can be met for a price, the trajectories of this star-crossed trio intersect in a claustrophobic collision of sex, blood, bullets, and personal apocalypse.

The sophomore feature from innovative and visionary New York based video auteur Scooter McCrae (Shatter Dead), Sixteen Tongues is a transgressive, dystopian chamber piece that fuses cyberpunk imagery, psychosexual malaise, and austere surrealist delirium. Featuring Alice Liu (She Hate Me), Tina Krause (Limbo), and special makeup FX by Glenn Hetrick (The Hunger Games) & Paul Sutt (Watchmen, Van Helsing), Sixteen Tongues presents a bleak and futuristic vision unlike any other; a subversive and ambitious body-horror epic guaranteed to challenge even the boldest and most daring cinematic explorers.

        Marko L. (5/5)

        Scooter McCrae is God

"Absolute freak shit here. Take Cronenberg and ratchet up the depravity tenfold. An aggressive, pornographic descent toward the agonizing limits of this life in flesh. Incredible feat to build a futuristic atmosphere with just two rooms and a hallway."

        Greg M. (5/5)

        Sixteen tongues

"Another great sov from saturns core"

        Andrew D. (5/5)

        OK Shocker Packed with Extras

"Movie: I appreciate the ambition, which definitely mitigates the lack of filming locations besides like, 1 house. It definitely feels a bit over-stuffed at times, which isn't helped by the dialogue volume feeling very low (relative to the music, other sounds, etc. ) On a rewatch I would definitely do subtitles. A few of the (many) ideas are pretty neat. Might be an OK group watch if there's a high tolerance for shocking/edgy stuff (there's literally pornographic ads on most walls in the movie). Extras: Soooo many. The short films are definitely the highlight, and it's great that they come with commentary. VFX breakdown shorter than expected, 'Fantasia or Bust' more enjoyable than expected. Packaging: Bonus points for reversible cover, and the slipcover art is very striking. a"

        Such a nice set of

"Such a nice set of blu rays from Saturns Core. I got the 10 pack and they have such a nice presentation to each. The slipcovers have both embossing and spot gloss art. And the insert is reversible with different art to show. Just overall really impressed and happy with my purchase. I’m looking forward to watching these!"

        Strange Tongues

"OK like some kind of Lynchian SOV nightmare I have no idea what you make of this one!"

        Ian S. (3/5)

Sixteen Tongues and Not a Single Whisper of Sanity

"Sixteen Tongues feels like the bastard child of Tetsuo: The Iron Man and Videodrome, raised in the gutters of late-'90s downtown New York. Scooter McCrae’s dystopian follow-up to Shatter Dead is more than just body horror—it’s an abrasive, claustrophobic descent into techno-sleaze and existential collapse. The lo-fi production design and abrasive lighting schemes evoke a surrealist nightmare, amplified by Glenn Hetrick’s grotesque FX work and Alice Liu’s fearless performance. It’s confrontational, uncompromising, and entirely singular. For seasoned cult film fans who crave their sci-fi dirty, desperate, and dripping with nihilism."

        Danny W. (5/5)

        Sixteen Tongues

"Low-budget horror film, notable only for its attempts at grotesque body horror and its narrative about a group of friends who unleash a parasitic entity, but ultimately failing to deliver on scares or coherence."

        Pierre L. (3/5)
