She Freak is cheap, sleazy, and not particularly subtle, but I found myself enjoying its grubby carnival world. It clearly owes an enormous debt to Freaks, without ever coming close to what makes that film so special, but there is still something fascinating about watching this particular piece of 60s exploitation unfold. The real attraction for me is all the carnival atmosphere and the feeling that you are getting a glimpse of a world that simply doesn't exist anymore. It is rough and occasionally rather dull, but as an exploitation time capsule I think it has plenty of charm. Another very fitting bit of cinematic archaeology from AGFA.

Another canonical SWV title from David F.

If you expect sleaze, look elsewhere. However, this trash update of Freaks is a Dave Friedman classic. The trailer reel is amazing.

Man, this is one of my favorites. Love the scenes of the carnival you can tell they captured real carnival stuff happening and it's so campy. Very fun.

Beautiful release of this Something Weird classic. The Art is fantastic. The extras are amazing. So happy that this was released in such a beautiful package to add to my collection. Highly recommend.
