If only more Holly Woodlawn films were released in physical media - she was such a delight and was born to be a star! Scarecrow in a Garden of Cucumbers was an incredible vehicle for her as well as being such a nostalgic time warp into the gritty days of New York City. Great cameos especially with the phenomenal Tally Brown. I enjoyed the extra features, but the highlight of this DVD was the bonus movie, GUMS (1976), a deliriously ***** and hilarious fever dream spoof of Jaws that's unlike anything you've ever seen before. When watching them both back-to-back, it makes for a wonderfully zany and fun double-feature that's worth every penny.

Shame the version of Gums here is only the softcore edit, but the main feature is essential

A real discovery! Fun & campy showcase for Holly Woodlawn's unique talents. Blu-ray captures appropriately grungy grainy filmic look.
