Odd SOV movie thats more philosophizing than expected. More of a Monster AA meeting than a mash.

Satan’s Menagerie is pure VHSHITFEST territory: a homemade SOV monster gathering with more ambition than budget, and that is a big part of the charm. The setup of five creatures of darkness coming together around the resurrection of a demon *** gives it a fun mythic hook, even when the pacing wanders and the handmade nature is impossible to miss. What makes it work is the personality: local-talent energy, goofy monster business, practical effects, and the feeling that everyone involved was trying to build their own little horror universe from whatever they had available. The Blu-ray gives this rare oddity a much better home than it probably ever expected, with commentary, a making-of documentary, bonus feature, music video, still gallery, and SDH subtitles. A fun rescue for patient SOV monster fans.
