Robo Warriors

When i think of VSA releases this is the kind of fim I think of. Something you'd see at the video stores in the 80's and 90's. Fun sci-fi action, great picture quality and nice special features. Highly recommend this one.

This is the kind of wonderfully over-the-top sci-fi action oddity that was always going to appeal to me, and the giant-robot premise is exactly the sort of thing I have a hard time resisting. That slip is an absolute beast—thick, sturdy, and substantial enough to make the whole release feel like a proper collector’s object before you even get to the disc.

Robo Warriors is exactly the kind of low-budget 90s science-fiction movie that becomes more enjoyable when you embrace its limitations. Giant mechanical warriors, an alien occupation, and a human resistance provide everything needed for an entertaining piece of straight-to-video genre filmmaking.

The miniature work and practical effects are a big part of the appeal. They may not compete with a blockbuster budget, but there's something genuinely fun about seeing physical models and mechanical creations used to sell the scale of the action.

The movie moves quickly and never loses sight of the giant-robot premise that makes it interesting in the first place. There's an undeniable Robot Jox flavor to the whole production.

Overall, Robo Warriors is a nostalgic slice of 90s sci-fi that's easy to enjoy if you have a soft spot for giant robots and practical effects.

Robot Jox helped me find my spouse, and I was very happy to be able to share Robo Warriors with them. Stuart Gordon is amazing!

Nice to watch something you would have woken up to at 4 am if you left the tv on sci-fi channel in 2006
