Buscemi Rules

"Psycho Therapy: The Shallow Tale of a Writer Who Decided to Write About a Serial Killer is an oddball dark comedy with an intriguing premise that mixes noir‑tinged satire and deadpan humor. Steve Buscemi and the rest of the cast bring plenty of charisma to the quirky, dialogue‑driven story, even if the pacing feels uneven and the tone occasionally struggles to stick the landing. It’s a strange, talky ride that won’t be for everyone, but its offbeat charm and standout performances make it worth a look if you’re in the mood for something different."

A fun little movie with

"A fun little movie with a great cast. Can't say I'll be rewatching this anytime soon, but still a nice movie to own."

Psycho Therapy: A Shallow Tale Indeed . .

"A bit disapointing to be honest. The timing of jokes was a bit off, characters were not overly interesting. My purchase was a bit late so my release did not come with a slipcover. Oh well, you can't win them all. lol"

Phil P. (5/5)

Steve Buscemi in an Oscar performance

"Steve Buscemi should have an Oscar for his performance in this (sadly Oscars go to a different kind of films) it´s a stellar cast and intelligent script. Photography and direction as well as timing is great. Simply loved this one. Very Highly Recommended."

Hansi L. (5/5)

This flick has Steve Buscemi

"This flick has Steve Buscemi in a lead role which is always a huge plus. Loved this super dark comedy. . . the comedic timing was perfect. The entire cast was great but damn Steve Buscemi just rules, he should lead more movies."

Bryan K. (5/5)

Psycho Therapy is an unexpected gem

"Great film and a stellar cast. Possibly my favourite artwork on any of the recent OCN partner releases. The addition of a booklet/insert would have been nice. . . but overall, very good."

Character Study

What did you say?

"Where do I start with this movie? The story/script was sumptuous, intelligent, and completely hysterical. The dialogue is to die for! The acting, OMG, Steve Buscemi, John Magaro, and Britt Lower are all absolutely outstanding! The score/soundtrack is funky, fresh, and intoxicating. The cinematography is so immersive, and adds to the overall engrossing viewing experience. There is so much to like in this movie, the superlatives could just go on, and on. It is witty, incredibly funny, and so unique in its storyline, and the acting is superb! One of the best movies I’ve watched in some time. I can certainly say it’s at, or near the top of my list of favourite movies of 2025, and quite possibly all-time. Absolutely brilliant!!!"

Great slip, fun flick

"Fun dark flick"

Richard J. (5/5)

Psycho Therapy

"It doesn't quite live up to its premise and the character choices don't make much sense, but I found myself laughing more than expected. Steve Buscemi was the selling point for me, but all of the leads are good in this."
