Description

Join Will Walker as he test pilots a captured enemy ship that shadows an unearthly childhood. On the mission he must work with a team of engineers and scientists who are members of an ancient secret society. By methodical use of silverware and ladders they have figured out how to make the movie (which is Will’s life) auto-rewind to the beginning over and over again.

Jared Whitham started Project Omicron when he was 15 years old and spent 7 years working on it. The result is one of the most unique and mind-bending sci-fi films you can imagine while also being a perfect love letter to the 50s science fiction films Whitham grew up watching. VHSHITFEST is so happy to shine a light on this extremely obscure gem with hours of extras!

    Another winner

Almost indescribable in terms of plot, but this has a certain Tetsuo via the mind of a teenager vibe going on that I liked.

Very glad Saturn's Core keeps finding movies like this. Can't wait to check out the shorts!

    **** VHSSHITFEST putting another great

**** VHSSHITFEST putting another great release out. They really go all out and introduce the world to all these obscure weird films. It's only 60m mins and it has a great twist too. Super loaded with extras and just a great bizarro film. My eyes are opened.

Oh my gracious self, what am I going to do with this cruise liner load full of extras to watch? This flick is ridiculous! There’s so much on this release that I refuse to make the time to list it in this review. Just know that there is a crazy amount. The film’s intro has an early 90s feel to it, definitely my type of material. Trippy camera work and I love it! I’m really enjoying the very charming but **** quality of everything going on here. Part of me wishes this film was longer, but that part of me doesn’t exist right now. This is where the extra footage comes in handy. Save for another rainy day. This movie is hilariously horrible! Lmao a lot better than I’d expected I tell you, and it’s probably the most consistently funniest thing I’ve seen from VHShitfest since Justice Ninja Style. Im only a third of the way through this and I already know I’m never going to sell this totally original, uniquely retarded, bonkers piece of **** movie. It’s just really bad is all I can really say about it - in the best ways though of course. The music is great, it reminded me somewhat of some 1990s era Mr Bungle. For something that is SOV and was released before the turn of the new millennium, the editing was done very well and it compliments the comedy - I am not exactly sure what in the **** they were aiming for but this movie is flippin hilarious. A lot of it makes absolutely zero sense. There were definitely elements of David Lynch in here. Definitely a zero budget maximum effort…

    Project Omicron VHShitfest bluray review

VHShitfest is a great Vinegar Syndrome Partner Label that releases fun, underseen movies and presents them in fantastic special editions so that they can be enjoyed and appreciated.

Project Omicron is a bizarrely wonderful movie. The movie deals with a test pilot who is flying a captured enemy plane. He works with a team that is a part of a secret society. This society has developed a way to rewind the pilots life, almost like a movie.

This sci-fi movie is unique and amazing, especially considering its low budget roots. The movie looks decent, even though it is from an SOV master.

The disc is stacked. It has two commentaries, interviews, BTS footage, bloopers and 10 short films.

Check this one out. I've loved everything that VHS has releases.
