This listing is for the standard edition Blu-ray/DVD combo. The limited edition slipcover was limited to 2,000 units and is sold out. The two versions are identical, aside from the slipcover.

Teenage Runaway Bonnie (Candice Rialson) has escaped the clutches of her controlling brother, only to become immediately embroiled in a twisted web of sexual manipulation. Initially convinced to aid in a carjacking, Bonnie is then taken in by a lecherous lesbian artist who hopes to groom her into a sapphic lover, only to have her plans thwarted by the perverse advances of a local gallery owner whose bizarre proclivities include the keeping of an unusual assortment of 'pets.'

A truly unparalleled exploitation film viewing experience, Raphael Nussbaum's PETS veers between moments of overwrought melodrama and jarring bouts of unhinged sleaze. Co-starring Ed Bishop (TV's UFO), Joan Blackman (BLUE HAWAII), and Mike Cartel (RUNAWAY NIGHTMARE), and adapted from Nussbaum's own stage play, Vinegar Syndrome presents this drive-in classic newly restored from rare 35mm elements and on Blu-ray for the very first time.

Reviews

"I make women my pets"

"A bizarre exploitation flick with the amazing Candice Rialson finding herself in situations that just keep getting weirder and weirder. I love how the little "film pops" from the original print were left in the final transfer."

Patrick D. (5/5)

Pretty good.

"If you're into sexpliitation cinema, this is about as good as you can get. An actual movie."

Stephen J. (4/5)

Yes, but are they housebroken?

"Pets is a true exploitation classic just waiting to be discovered. Do you dare?"

Get this when it's on sale

"Get this release when it's on sale and you won't regret it. Haven't had a chance to peruse the extras yet, but there aren't too many and the transfer is great, probably from the best print they could find. Did not get the slipcover version, as there are none left, but this was right up my alley!"

Nicholas T. (5/5)

Pets - Blu-Ray review

"Strange, weird but memorable 70s sleazefest. I knew nothing about this movie before seeing it so I was pleasantly surprised. Very enjoyable film."

NIKOS D. (5/5)

Great fun

"Really enjoyed this, the lead blonde is smokin and gets herself into some sexy situations. Also love the vintage Southern California & Malibu location scenery. VS needs to realease more 70s exploitation like this immediately!"

Erik G. (4/5)

This is a rare one

"This is a rare one with some shots resembling Russ Meyer's Vixen showing the style of 60s/70s."

Manhar G. (5/5)
