Great film about the band. Pavement is one of my wife’s favorite bands and she loved it.

Haven’t dug into the movie yet but glad to be able to pick up a variant slipcover after missing the original run.

A brilliantly pretentious, deeply funny anti-music doc that matches the exact slack, sarcastic energy of the band itself.
- TL70mm MemberTim L.Verified Buyer1 month agoRated 5 out of 5 starsA Creative and Unconventional Music Documentary
Pavements is an inventive documentary that blurs the line between fact and fiction, creating an experience that's as playful and unpredictable as the band itself. Rather than following a traditional music documentary format, it embraces surreal moments and imagined scenarios that make the film feel fresh and engaging.
The occasional hallucinations and dreamlike sequences add to the film's unconventional style. They reinforce its self-aware humor and experimental approach without overshadowing the genuine appreciation for the band's history and influence.
The features included with this release are a worthwhile addition, offering extra insight into the production and creative process. They help round out the package and make it especially rewarding for longtime fans.
The overall restoration and presentation are excellent, with a sharp transfer that preserves the film's varied visual styles while maintaining strong detail and color throughout.
Overall, this is a smart, imaginative release that celebrates both the music and the creative spirit behind it in a way that feels completely original.
