Omen

This was actually a really great movie. I have to admit that I was expecting something a bit more supernatural going in to this one, but I was not disappointed by it in any way. It's a fascinating exploration of family tradition, community and culture. The short films were pretty wild too. I would most definitely recommend this to anyone who likes to take a chance on something different and challenging. And of course I love the slipcover, too!

‘Omen’ is essentially an idiosyncratic world cinema film. It's set in the Democratic Republic of Congo and has intense and involving family dramas at its centre. But the film offers so much more than that including unexpected and disturbing folk horror-like interludes and intermittent encounters with eccentric local gang and youth cultures. It’s all very colourful and compelling stuff.

This is why I love our partner labels, I’d never have seen this otherwise. It’s shot beautifully and deals with different cultures colliding. It’s all at once a horror, a folktale, and a fantasy. Highly recommend

Great packaging for this movie

Entertaining exploration of culture and superstition. Great story and captivating cinematography. Fun release with a handful of extra features and neat looking art on the slipcover and reversible sleeve.
