Description

The beautiful Linnea Quigley stars in two erotic thrillers from filmmaker David DeCoteau.

First, in MURDER WEAPON, two women, who have just been released from an asylum hold a party to reunite with their old boyfriends. Soon though a mysterious black clad killer begins murdering the boys in increasingly gruesome ways. Can the murderer be unmasked before it's too late?

Then, in DEADLY EMBRACE, a lonely and under-sexed housewife hires a studly houseman, only to begin an affair with him. But when his actress girlfriend (Linnea Quigley) comes to visit, as well as her wealthy husband (Jan-Michael Vincent), things start happening that no one would have expected...

Linnea Quigley Double feature
Two cheap and sleazy movies staring Linnea Quigley. Is there anything else that needs to be said?

Mixed Bag
The picture and audio were great. Murder Weapon was pretty fun if you’re into low budget slashers, but Deadly Embrace was pretty dull.

Sleazy Late-Night Double Feature
Murder Weapon / Deadly Embrace is the kind of sleazy late-night double feature that feels right at home in the Vinegar Syndrome catalog. David DeCoteau, Linnea Quigley, Michelle Bauer, Jan-Michael Vincent, and Lyle Waggoner give the package plenty of video-store texture, with one film leaning into asylum/slasher weirdness and the other into erotic-thriller melodrama. Neither movie is pretending to be classy, but both have that direct-to-video charm: strange dialogue, soft-focus tension, campy plotting, and bursts of blood and nudity. The 2K restorations from the 16mm camera negatives look much better than material this scrappy usually gets, and the DeCoteau/Quigley commentaries, intros, trailer, outtakes, reversible artwork, and SDH subtitles make it a very satisfying double-feature release.

Boring
Both of these films are basically soft core ****. That's fine but it's just not my thing. I found both movies pretty boring. Really long drawn out *** scenes. Bland characters. One of the movies had pretty bad audio issues. Both movies look great. I think if you are into soft core **** with some kills you will love these
