Four Filipino women survive adulthood one problem at a time in Moral, which compassionately and engagingly examines the differences and similarities of each of their experiences. Its a powerful experience and certainly among the greatest Filipino films. The usual interviews accompany it, though I would especially recommend the essays included in the illustrated booklet. Is it too much to hope for the conclusion of Marilou Diaz-Abaya's trilogy to be next from Kani?

I haven’t watched many films from Philippines but this was really good and it seems to critique the culture.

Great to see Filipino cinema represented in the catalog. Let’s hope Kandi is also able to release the third film in the Diaz-Abaya trilogy.

This movie was my introduction to Marilou Diaz-Abaya‘s cinema. I’m so glad the film was restored after it was deemed practically lost.
This release offers the best possible version of it you could ask for in terms of sound and image. From my perspective, considering this is a must-watch title, it’s a dream to be able to have access to it after all.

A filipino eighties coming of age movie, the second installement of a trilogy from director Marilou Diaz-Abaya. It's a drama that essays about the lives of several characters after they leave the college and traces their posterior years. It loosely reminds Boyhood from Richard Linklater on the basis. So far, VS has put out another chapter of the trilogy, Moral, let's hope that Brutal is coming soon. Lots of quality features as always.
