Massacre

What a wild ride. Vinegar kicks things off with a bang, finally giving us a fantastic release that launches my all-time favorite TV horror series. It’s a blend of *giallo* and horror that only reveals its true nature in the finale. The script is flawed and the cast isn't quite up to par, but the best is yet to come. It may not be one of my absolute favorites overall, but finally being able to enjoy it with such extraordinary picture and sound quality is priceless. Thanks, Vinegar.

For a late 80's Italian offering, Massacre has all the offerings one would want or expect for this era. A head scratcher of a plot, plenty of nudity, gory kills, and plenty of overdramatic acting.

Out of all of this line of films Massacre is high on the list as being a good B-grade horror film directed by Burial Grounds own Andrea Bianchi with a tone very similar to the aforementioned classic of zombie/ghostly horror.

Presented - not made by. But Fulci lives. A bit more modern than your standard Fulci - give me a made by Fulci film, but this is not 'as good' it is - let me cite Spock “Fascinating”. Cold blood thriller as we like - it once in a while.

Massacre is a meta-movie - it's a cheap Italian horror movie featuring a group of Italian filmmakers making a cheat Italian horror movie, and someone is killing them off. I didn't love this one, mostly because there's no dub track (due to its being produced for the domestic Italian audience).

Great transfer and great slipcover for this obscure horror italian movie.
