This is the listing for the standard edition Blu-ray/DVD Combo. The limited edition embossed slipcover (designed by Derek Gabryszak) is limited to 2,500 units and is sold out. The two versions are identical, aside from the slipcover.

Kim (Jill Lansing) is a smart-mouthed high school senior whose boyfriend dumps her for a snobbish rich girl. Her poor grades and working class background make matters even worse, until Kim realizes that she can use her beautiful body to achieve her goals. Sexually blackmailing her teachers improves her grades and moonlighting as a prostitute pays off handsomely. But an easy life of vice pulls her deeper into corruption and crime, and soon Kim finds herself lured into the risky and bloody role of a high school aged hit girl!

Hailed as a "seedy, sleazy little gem" by the LA Times, MALIBU HIGH is a fast-paced blend of neo-noir plotting and sexploitation styled antics. Directed by Irv Berwick (HITCH HIKE TO HELL) and produced by then 18-year-old wunderkind, Lawrence D. Foldes (DON'T GO NEAR THE PARK), Vinegar Syndrome is proud to bring this one-of-a-kind exploitation classic to Blu-ray, newly restored from its original 35mm negative and loaded with bonus features.

Not quite as "fast-paced" as hoped

"Sadly, a case where the synopsis here is basically accurate but perhaps oversells it a bit? Definitely sleazy and interesting and bizarre, but we found it hard to latch onto, and at least the feeling during watching it was anything but fast-paced. I did enjoy the interviews, especially the one with the Garth Pillsbury (great name). For the packaging on the standard ed, I was confused at the minorly different art for each side, matching against the dvd and blu, perhaps just poster variations? I will say it is pretty amazing that this movie has such a release now, a common refrain with VS titles but one that nonetheless deserves to be said."
