This special limited edition embossed slipcover (designed by Earl Kess) is limited to 5,000 units and is only available here at VinegarSyndrome.com!

An unknown killer has been stalking Northern California, picking up innocent young women in his van and then brutally torturing and murdering them, leaving their mutilated bodies in nearby woods. Sgt. Vince De Carlo has been assigned to the case but finds himself with almost nothing to go on, that is, until the murderer begins picking off teenage girls who frequent a local public pool. With the aid of psychologist Carol Thompson, De Carlo begins to devise a plan to lure the killer into the open...

More than slightly inspired by the then hot case of notorious serial killer, Ted Bundy, Jeremy Hoenack's KILLER'S DELIGHT (originally shot as THE SPORT KILLER and later re-released as THE DARK RIDE) is an intriguing mix of proto-slasher and detective drama which stars prolific TV actor James Luisi (The Rockford Files) alongside Golden Globe nominee Susan Sullivan (Falcon Crest),  John Karlen (Dark Shadows), and genre film character actor, George 'Buck' Flower (Berserker). Vinegar Syndrome is proud to present this gritty true crime thriller on Blu-ray for the first time, newly restored in 4K from its original 35mm camera negative.

Strong Restoration and Atmosphere

"A very enjoyable release with a solid storyline and a memorable atmosphere. The restoration is impressive, keeping the film’s original texture while offering a clean and stable presentation. The disc has a great vintage feel, and the unusual details, including the cat, add to its charm. A strong collector’s release overall."

Not Bad

"Fairly decent 70s serial killer movie. Slip cover isn't the best VS has done but film is worth a watch and looks great considering it's low budget and age."

This Flick Was Indeed A Killer Delight To Watch!

"This really cool flick definitely merits being seen and was a nice discovery for me! I loved the horror and action, and the film was a very engaging watch from beginning to end! It is a HUGE upgrade over any previous version! The peerless VS restoration process was on full display with stellar sound and picture! Thank you, VS, for continuing to lovingly restore and release so many wonderful films from every conceivable genre! You are keeping physical media alive in this streaming world we now live in! Highly recommended!"

Thriller Killer picture

"A fun late 70's crime thriller featuring Buck Flower! The disc has some great supplemental interciews that are well worth checking out for my two cents, and provide some great insight into the films."

Creepy little chiller rooted in reality

"Killer's Delight (prefer the title Sport Killer or even The Dark Ride) is a watchable takeoff of several 70s serial killers' exploits that targeted women. The TV movie feel makes it less disturbing, as I am not a fan of true crime myself. Vinegar Syndrome bestows this strange hybrid of a police procedural and a psycho sexual thriller with a nice, colorful transfer with a couple of decent special features. The movie is nothing groundbreaking, and if you're wanting to see the murder acts, expect the violence to be mostly implied. Worth a pick up for the right price, and hats off to the the company for using the eerie original art for the slip cover."
