Absurd, deadpan, and completely unpredictable 😁

"Keep An Eye Out is exactly my kind of weird comedy. It starts with a simple police interrogation and then just keeps bending reality until you stop trying to predict where any of it is going. Benoît Poelvoorde and Grégoire Ludig are great together, and Quentin Dupieux somehow makes a 73-minute movie feel packed with bizarre little ideas without overstaying its welcome. I love how dry the humor is. The movie plays completely straight even when the logic starts falling apart, which honestly makes the jokes hit harder. It’s strange, fast, and just off enough that I was smiling most of the way through. The Blu-ray release is a really nice package too. You get Dupieux’s commentary, rehearsal footage, a makeup FX test, trailer, booklet, and inside artwork, and the embossed limited slipcover looks great in person. It was limited to 2,000 copies, which makes it feel like a proper little collector release. Short, weird, funny, and totally its own thing. Easy 5/5 for me. 😁"

Absurdist Fun

"Movie: Consistently amusing, and I got several big LOL's out of this. I'm glad I went in blind ;) Extras: The trailer is fun; it's not just clips from the movie either. Make-up test is short but good. Rehearsal footage is maybe 10-15 minutes and does show some of the tone-building. Book: 3 little interviews which add some extra knowledge. Packaging: Great slipcover, although it does spoil the one-eyed character's reveal and possibly mislead as to his importance. Inner art has some nice touches, e. g. the picture on the disc. You also get a little card of a letter from the movie, with an included translation."
