"In search of more Bigfoot filmography? This double feature is a pleasant way to waste away a Saturday afternoon"
"Vinegar Syndrome's DVD release of "In Search of Bigfoot" offers a fascinating glimpse into the 1970s obsession with uncovering proof of the legendary creature. The documentary's restored footage looks remarkably clear, bringing the mysterious wilderness and interviews to life. The release features insightful special content that adds depth to the historical and cultural context of the film. Overall, this release is a captivating addition for enthusiasts of cryptozoology and documentary filmmaking."
"The first time I saw Cry Wilderness I finished and said what the hell did I just watch?? But on second viewing I was able to soak in all the cheese and goofiness. In Search of is a very well done doc and a great pairing for this DVD."
"In search of bigfoot is a fake documentary Cry Wilderness is weird mix of kids film/tv movie/nature film/environmental film"
"Solid ‘squatch double feature, unfortunately now out-of-print."
"I can neither confirm nor deny if they find Bigfoot on their search, but I will let you know that they do in fact cry wilderness in the second feature. But you must see them both for yourself."
"Fun viewing In Search of Bigfoot. Almost makes you think there is proof sasquatch exists. Haven't watched Cry Wilderness yet."
"Oddball bigfoot double feature from VS' early days. SEARCH is a very '70s documentary about bigfoot hunters, full of ballyhoo but no proof (despite its protestations). It has nice bucolic nature footage, however, and is kind of calming. CRY WILDERNESS is a really silly kids' film. If you didn't catch it on MST, check it out here. DVD is bare-bones, but that's fine - not everything needs a bunch of superfluous special features. Both movies are presented in nice condition with good new scans from quality elements. Nothing much to write home about, but a couple of solid enough B flicks."
"I love bigfoot movies, so I had to watch these. In Search of Bigfoot is the real winner as it is a really unique documentary that is a cool time capsule."
