I love experimental surrealist dreamlike films so I was really happy to nab House of Dreams. I think fans of these sort of films have a general idea of what to expect in terms of feel, imagery, and the oft psychological aspect. The sound can be a bit jarringly loud (with some irritatingly repetitive sounds) at times, which is usually not the case with these types of films, but it's not enough to ruin the experience. The encoding is excellent, looks very clean for the film's budget and age.
The Midnight Dream Theater extra that takes sort of beaten up VHS looking versions of House of Dreams, Meshes of the Afternoon, and Carnival of Souls into a single viewing is a pretty cool extra.

As always - yes, always - Bleeding Skill dig up and release a rare thriller that walks the fine line of surreal, suggestive, and using a ‘hot word’ of the day, liminal horror. Top notch.

Makes reality seem subtly dead before anything supernatural happens!
