A heartbreaking look at the ultimate horror "what-if. " Hearing how studio execs axed a literal George Romero Resident Evil movie because it was "too violent" for a franchise built on eating human flesh is peak Hollywood brainrot.

An insightful and entertaining documentary about George A. Romero’s unrealized Resident Evil adaptation. The archival material offers a fascinating look at what the project might have become, and the slipcover artwork is fantastic. Essential viewing for Romero and Resident Evil fans.

The doc was decent. Some of the info I was not even aware of so it was informative. I grabbed standard edition as that was all that was available.
- DJDaniel J.Verified Buyer2 months agoRated 4 out of 5 starsThere's not really much to
There's not really much to the story (Romero wrote a script, they didn't like it or use it), but it's interesting to hear about what the film could have been. The documentary feels a bit padded out with background about Romero's career and the history of the Resident Evil game series.
The contributors are at least mostly people that I haven't seen interviewed before, so there's new material and perspectives. George himself is barely heard from (I suppose there's not a lot of relevant video footage available).
I didn't expect a whole 2nd disc of extra features!
