Description

Never released outside of Japan, FUJI_JUKAI.MOV is an eerie found footage horror movie from filmmaker Katsumi Sakashita. The story follows Ami, a high school student who travels to the Jukai forest to take her own life. But when students Mi-tan and Hinata interrupt Ami's plans, an even darker side of the forest is revealed. The first J-horror feature to be filmed entirely on an iPhone, FUJI_JUKAI.MOV combines true crime chills with ambitious unfiction to build an unsettling experience that's a true discovery for found footage archeologists.

    Found Blu ray

Filming an entire J-horror movie on an early iPhone in a real suicide forest sounds like a cheap gimmick, but it actually creates a deeply eerie, voyeuristic atmosphere.

A creepy found-footage film that makes excellent use of its forest locations. The unsettling atmosphere builds gradually and makes the search at the center of the story feel genuinely disturbing. A great discovery for fans of Japanese horror.
