One of the OG releases is why I started collecting VS in the first place. The transfer looks as good as any of their newer releases, really great quality picture and sound. Both movies are uneven but with a lot of charm!

***** Hill (1964): Directed by famed cult filmmaker Russ Meyer, this is an adaptation of the classic erotic novel about a young woman in pre-Victorian London who enters an elite brothel. It mixes surreal slapstick with satire.
The Phantom Gunslinger (1967): Directed by Albert Zugsmith, this is a surreal, slapstick western parody starring Troy Donahue as a divinity school graduate trying to save a frontier town from outlaws.

Bought this because it is a Russ Meyer film. Like the artwork and design on the art work.

Maybe Russ Meyer's worst film, paired with a not particularly fun Western parody
- AR16mm MemberAdam R.Verified Buyer1 month agoRated 3 out of 5 starsA Rusee Meyer Double Feature
A double feature of Russ Meyer flicks. So you know what you are in for. ***** Hill is not the best of the RM catalog, but worth it for fans and collectors. Good packaging art and design, and extras.
