A gorgeously shot film with seamless editing. A slow burn, meditative, thought provoking work of art, split into three chapters, each boasting a different aspect ratio, and a different time and place. A unique, rewarding and contemplative work of art.

A visually striking but deliberately slow and fragmented journey that intrigues in moments, yet can feel distant and uneven if you’re not fully drawn into its meditative rhythm.

Lisandro Alonso is among my absolute favourite directors still working today, and definitely in my top 3 all-time favourite slow cinema auteurs. Eureka is a pretty daring work, even for his challenging standards, and I was entranced with this triptych from start to end. Never in my wildest dreams would I expect to own a film of his with a VS quality slipcover!
