"Lisandro Alonso is among my absolute favourite directors still working today, and definitely in my top 3 all-time favourite slow cinema auteurs. Eureka is a pretty daring work, even for his challenging standards, and I was entranced with this triptych from start to end. Never in my wildest dreams would I expect to own a film of his with a VS quality slipcover!"

"Esoteric portrayal of the hard time Native American peoples have throughout time, deftly intertwining three timelines/eras makes for an interesting watch. Having Viggo in it is a bonus. Comes with a couple extras and nifty artwork on the slipcover and sleeve."
"A fascinating vision with a unique voice, examining the exploitation and erasure of indigenous cultures of the Americas, but one that is not wholly successful. Structured as a triptych of loosely connected narratives, it's difficult to wrap your head around exactly what director/writer Lisandro Alonso is getting at, except for these brilliantly expressive moments scattered throughout the film. They occur randomly and kind of take your breath away, both poignant and profound. But they are surrounded by a lot of overly pensive scenes that are meant to feel the same but don't work because of actors who don't have the depth to convince or tediously ponderous pacing that takes you out of the moment. It ultimately feels like a wide swing for the fences that doesn't quite connect, but its ambition, messaging and artful moments of clarity make it difficult to dismiss out-of-hand. Definitely worth checking out for its bold originality."

"This floored me. Beautifully shot. It does require some patience, but wow, what a deeply moving film. If you've seen and enjoyed Lisandro Alonso's previous film, Juaja, which also features Viggo Mortensen, you will probably appreciate this one, too. The sleeve art is gorgeous, as is the slipcover. I'm stoked to have been able to add this one to the collection. 10/10"

"Interesting movie. You need to be in the mood for it and maybe I wasn't quite in that mood when I watched hence the three star rating as opposed to more (or less). Love having Viggo performances in the Vinegar and Partner collection and I like the slipcover artwork."
