Ennio

Great overview and perspective of Ennio's movie composer career with collegue and actor inteviews. Gives insight to Ennio's thought process when composing movie score. Recently, this documentary was played on TMC.

Super doc. Happy to have it

Movie:

This was very interesting, but it didn't need to be 2 1/2 hours long. The pacing really drags by the time you get towards the end. Morricone's music absolutely holds this up the whole way through, and is certainly _deserving_ of the indulgent treatment, but I think as a movie this would've been better if it had been distilled a little more. Maybe cut out some of the concert footage at the end. I'm also not sure I would ever need to watch this a second time when I could just watch more movies Morricone worked on, or listen to the soundtracks.

Extras:

A little light. Nice to have the trailer of course, and the deleted scene was interesting (to me at least).

Packaging:

The cover does it's job, and the slipcover adds a bit of flare.
