I really liked Dream Life. It is quiet and understated, but there is something about the way it captures that feeling of wanting your life to be somewhere else that really worked for me. The film never pushes too hard for emotion, and I appreciated how much it leaves you to simply spend time with its characters and figure them out for yourself. There is a sadness running through it, but also a warmth that stopped it from ever feeling miserable. Another Kani release that reminded me why I enjoy following the label, as they keep introducing me to films I probably would never have stumbled across on my own.

Excellent, necessary release from CIP of a low-key Canadian masterpiece. Beautifully restored. Highly recommended for anyone who likes French New Wave films. Also love the collage-style slipcover from Dylan Haley.

Wonderful Canadian oddity from the good folks over Canadian International Pictures. A light hearted surreal comedy ala Daisies with great extra features.
