Dogleg is a sharp, character-driven coming-of-age drama that captures the awkwardness, humor, and tension of adolescence. The story follows a young protagonist navigating social hierarchies, friendships, and first experiences, balancing comedic missteps with moments of emotional resonance.
Performances feel authentic and relatable, highlighting the mix of insecurity and curiosity that defines the teen experience. The film’s pacing and style embrace realism, with naturalistic dialogue and grounded scenarios that enhance the immersive quality.
Dogleg succeeds as a bittersweet and sometimes funny exploration of youth, identity, and the messy process of growing up.
