Deadly Dealings

Some of the visual choices were good but it is a little on the boring side at times.

Adam Freeman and Roman Jossart’s Deadly Dealings delivers a compact supernatural horror tale centered on grief and unintended consequences. Mary (Roni Jonah) remains haunted by visions of her late brother and reluctantly turns to a spirit board in hopes of reconnecting with him. The session instead summons a malevolent force that invades her dreams and waking hours, transforming personal mourning into escalating terror.

The film refreshes familiar tropes with a striking visual approach. Detailed sets and a shifting color palette move from cold isolation to vivid menace, creating an immersive, shadow-heavy atmosphere that nods to classic Italian horror aesthetics while grounding the story in emotional intensity. At just over 70 minutes, it maintains a focused pace and leans into atmosphere over elaborate plotting.

The Blu-ray, released in partnership with Wild Eye Movies, presents the 2022 feature in a clean 1. 85:1 transfer with English DTS-HD MA 2. 0 audio. Bonus materials include a commentary with producer-director Adam Freeman, multiple cast and crew interviews, a behind-the-scenes gallery, trailers, a folded poster, and English SDH subtitles. Fans of stylish indie supernatural horror should find this a solid addition to the shelf.
