Giallo homage

"“City Wide Fever” is a scrappy, stylish micro‑budget giallo homage that blends cinephile obsession, lo‑fi aesthetics, and surreal conspiracy into a uniquely off‑kilter thriller. The film follows Sam, a young film student who discovers a hard drive filled with archival materials about Saturnino Barresi, a forgotten Italian giallo director who mysteriously vanished in the late 1970s. As Sam digs deeper into his disappearance, she’s pulled into a violent, dreamlike conspiracy that mirrors the very films she idolizes."

DIY Debut

"City Wide Fever is a gritty, ultra-low-budget horror that leans into its raw, DIY aesthetic. Josh Heaps builds an uneasy atmosphere with minimal resources, giving the film a scrappy, underground feel. It’s definitely rough around the edges, but that unfiltered style is part of what makes it memorable for indie horror fans."

An ode to giallos this

"An ode to giallos this was a great microscopic NYC film. I absolutely loved it and I was surprised how funny and clever it was. Dilemma Gugluelmi was really good in the lead role too. Just a fantastic release by Factory 25. Great purchase!"

A weird one that is never boring

"It's hard to know what's style and what's limitations with a movie like this. Having two actresses for one part because one left mid production is a new one for me. It isn't too distracting surprisingly. Giallo-esque it works pretty well. Not sure why they shot it on old cameras when a cellphone would probably have higher resolution. I know when people hear that El Mariachi cost only $7,000 they are astounded. The booklet said this cost $40,000. I'm astounded. Let's leave it at that."

Great Title Awesome Movie

"Amazing flick and what felt like a love letter to shot on video films. I’m a huge fan of SOV films especially the ones from the early 2000s. This captured the style of those movies with a modern twist and all the elements of giallo as well. If your a fan of those genres I highly recommend this movie!"
