"Not bad with a lot of Texas chainsaw about it"
"This one was entertaining and captured the feeling of Texas chainsaw massacre and hills have eyes ! Cheap movie that looks really good. Could have been 10 minutes shorter but still a nice ride ! Picture and sound is good and the slipp and cover is amazing . Fun extras 😁"
"Good Horror flick."
"Director Marcel Watz has put together a great tribute to the better slashers of the 70s. It’s somewhat in the vein of “The Hills Have Eyes” but with better kills, one in particularly. It has a great look to it and they also found a great location, which really serves the movie well. My only gripes is that they could have found a slightly younger looking cast and the reason why the “inbred” family has gathered together seemed a little forced to me. All, in all I definitely recommend this movie. It has a very interesting commentary and some interesting interviews. The slipcover is great. And the inner case has different art which I also like!"
"Fans of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre and the X trilogy will get a kick out of this one. Fun slasher worth a watch."
"A good throwback to classic slasher. Good restoration and sound."
"This particular slipcover looks amazing! The movie itself is a really cool throwback to the 70's and it kept me watching and left me wanting more! The dialogue was clear and the extras were really cool! The peerless VS restoration process was on full display with stellar sound and picture! Thank you, VS, for continuing to lovingly restore and release so many wonderful films from every conceivable genre! You are keeping physical media alive in this streaming world we now live in! Highly recommended!"
"Fun because of the extra effort put into it . it can't pull off the authenticity, but isn't that on purpose to add to the comic touches? Great extras add more fun"
"Not a bad film if you are a fan of Texas Chainsaw and the Hills have Eyes. A solid entry in the modern retro horror genre. Solid kills and good dialogue. More solid work from VS."
"Interesting premise. Some good kills. It just leads to nothing. The end of the film ruins the whole movie. It’s predictable and lame. It feels like the filmmaker had no idea how to end the movie so it just ends. So disappointing. It’s fairly entertaining until to the final third and then it lost me. The movie looks good and the acting is great. It’s just a nothing film."
