What more can you say about this scuzzy, sadistic, brain sucking classick? Amazing to live at a time when titles like this are getting the deluxe 4K treatment. Love the magnetic reversible slipcase, but I wouldn’t try to flip it right over, because it seemed to me like the edges would tear. I do appreciate that VS are playing around with new packaging gimmicks though. Very nice.

I've never owned a copy of this film before but had interested in obtaining it in an upgraded presentation. This looks and sounds absolutely amazing !

Classic of 70s exploitation cinema. Highly recommended to anybody that's into that type of film. Everything that you can want is in here. Nasty, ******, gory offensive, etc.

Blood Sucking Freaks is one of those movies where “good taste” clearly never entered the conversation 😂 It’s mean, sleazy, disgusting, and somehow also weirdly funny because Sardu and Ralphus treat all of this depravity like they’re putting on high art.
Seamus O’Brien and Luis De Jesus are the reason it works for me. Their chemistry gives the movie this bizarre theatrical energy, and the whole Theatre of the Macabre setup makes it feel like a live exploitation show that just keeps escalating. It’s definitely not for everybody, but if you like nasty ’70s grindhouse stuff, this is basically required viewing.
The 4K release is way better than I ever expected a movie like this to get. Vinegar Syndrome restored the uncut version from a 35mm internegative, and the disc is absolutely stacked with commentaries, Joel M. Reed material, Lloyd Kaufman, Eli Roth, Chris Jericho, cast and crew interviews, and more. The double-sided magnetic reversible embossed slipcover is ridiculous in the best way too.
Revolting? Yep. Tasteless? Absolutely. A **** of a collector release? 100%. 😁
