NIGHT OF THE STRANGLER: A southern-fried whodunnit with murder, racial tension, and a starring role from The Monkees’ Micky Dolenz, this sweat-soaked sleazer feels like a cross between an American giallo and a trashy airport paperback novel.
CARNIVAL OF BLOOD: An ominous, semi-cinéma vérité horror movie that was shot at Coney Island in NYC, CARNIVAL OF BLOOD features an early role from Burt Young (ROCKY), pop-art gore that would make H.G. Lewis proud, and a gloriously seedy atmosphere.

"This is exactly the kind of weird preservation project I love seeing from AGFA. You get three very different low-budget horror movies here, and none of them are polished in the traditional sense, but that’s half the fun. Help Me. . . I’m Possessed is probably the strangest of the bunch — pure desert-sanitarium nightmare fuel with monsters, a psychopathic hunchback, and a killer early synth score. Night of the Strangler has that sweaty southern exploitation vibe with a little giallo flavor mixed in, and Carnival of Blood might be my favorite just for the seedy Coney Island atmosphere and gloriously cheap gore. The picture quality is rough in places, but that makes sense because these 2K preservations come from the only known 35mm prints. I’d much rather have them preserved like this than scrubbed into something they were never supposed to be. The drive-in mode is a great touch too and really fits the whole release. Three strange movies, tons of personality, and a killer limited slipcover. Not slick, not classy, but absolutely my kind of release. 😁"
"I first saw Carnival of Blood on VHS as a kid, so it’s a real treat to finally see it in what is probably the best presentation we’re ever going to get. The surviving elements are definitely rough in spots, but that only adds to the wonderfully grimy drive-in charm of this triple feature."
